    1975
Mr Roberts from Denver writes... In 1975 there was a short-lived (very short-lived) logo that lasted just long enough for the Nebraska Educational Television Network to yell, "Hey, that's OUR logo!! You boys in Noo York are in a heeep o' trouble NOW!" And quicker than you can say, "Ohmygod! Would you buncha broadhusker corncasters like some new equipment to drop that suit?" it was off the air and Nebraska was the proud owner of some of the latest in broadcast gear.
1980 A compromise. "The Proud N" still had 11 feathers, but shapes were simplified.

1986 "The Bird" returns as one of the world's most recognized logos. Six feathers represent the network's six divisions.
